About the Tips-Up for Troops event: Recognized by the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, Tips-Up for Troops has hosted more than 400 injured/disabled veterans and 2,800 other guests over the past 11 years. Proceeds go to the Motor City Veteran Hockey Association.

How much does it cost? FREE to all attendees though donations are always appreciated. RSVP please to rvbriggsjr@yahoo.com with number of attendees in your group for food planning purposes. Last minute add-ons welcome.

To Donate/Sponsor Tips-Up: Send checks payable to “CNS” with “Vet Hockey” in the remarks to, CNS Warriors, Attn: Rick Briggs, 853 Devonshire Blvd, Brighton, MI 48116. You will receive a 501-c-3 non-profit tax donation letter for your records from CNS following the event.

The Warrior Hockey team is in desperate need of financial support as they get ready to start their summer practice and developmental hockey programs resetting their sights on a second national title next year in Tampa, Florida. This year’s CNS Warriors paid most of their own hotels and travel expenses for the four day event in Chicago as well as the Minneapolis tournament earlier in the year because they did not have funds to cover it all. Sponsors over $500 please forward a jpg of your logo for inclusion on their team banner.

About the Motor City Veteran Hockey Association: Our mission is to strive to “Serve our injured and disabled veterans through the fun and friendship of hockey with a program of support, advocacy, and awareness of the ‘Invisible Wounds’ and injuries from the Global War on Terror.” The CNS Warriors are made up of combat-injured and disabled veterans, as required by the U.S.A. Hockey Warrior Division guidelines.
